There’s a war going on between charter and public schools- Listen up!

I do not post much, but this charter schools vs public schools issue is weighing heavy on my heart. My people do not see the game being played on us. Here are the reasons charter schools succeed over public schools.

1) Charter schools have a selection process. They can pick the best students in Newark, NJ to attend their schools. Public schools so not have a selection process. They must take in everybody!

2) Charter schools can get rid of their problematic students. In other words, if Pookie and Rasheedah wild out in a charter school, they will be kicked out of the charter school, and then, they will be place in a public school quick fast and in a hurry! The public schools do not have the option to kick out problematic students!

If public schools had the same options as charter schools, the public schools would succeed on the same level as charter schools. But it’s ok, when the powers that be get finish destroying America’s public schools system, they will drop the charter schools agenda like a hot potato! Then African Americans and Latino Americans will be left without decent schools period!

We need to wake up family! The trick is being played on us, particularly our children. I just hope that one day, black and brown people will get back to independently educating our children, so that we will have a new wave of powerful and strong black and brown leaders in our community.

Another thing that’s happening at these charter schools that we are not talking about, is the extreme euro-centric curriculum put before our babies! The charter schools are not giving our students of color any foundation of black and brown cultural pride! The students at the charter schools leave these schools dis-connected to their own selves and to black and brown communities!

This is happening now in Newark, NJ and in communities of color in America. Real talk!!!!!!!

To quote Mobb Deep, “There’s war going on outside, no man is safe from””
