By New York Post

Shocking surveillance video shows a man being fatally stabbed as he was sitting in front of a Brooklyn bodega Thursday morning.

The 31-year-old victim was sitting on a crate in front of B&B Mini Market near the corner of Neptune Avenue and Brighton 4th Street in Brighton Beach when the 36-year-old suspect started arguing with him around 6:50 a.m.

The video shows the attacker standing over the seated man as he menaced him before jabbing him in the chest with the knife. The stunned man, clutching his wound, begins to stagger around in the street as the suspect continues menacing him with the knife, as if threatening to strike again. The victim finally collapses in front of a green cab before the killer walks away from him.

Police said the victim later died at Coney Island Hospital. His identity has not yet been released. The killer was captured at the scene. Charges against him are pending. He told cops the victim had tried to rob him and he pulled the knife to defend himself, officials said.

The incident is still under investigation. Local resident Angel Reyes, 26, said he saw the video when he entered the store as workers were reviewing the tape.

“There was a man sitting on the crate, and [the assailant] took out a pocket knife and stabbed him without saying anything,” Reyes said. Read More
